Skin Care for Hands

There are so many skin care products out there that are all about nourishing and protecting your face. Many women invest so much on anti aging products and special serums to maintain that young looking radiant glow. You might be spending so much time and effort taking care of your facial area that you may be forgetting an area of your skin that is super prone to premature aging and dryness – your hands. You use your hands all day, everyday – doing work and all the tasks you need to maintain your healthy lifestyle but, are your hands as nourished as the rest of your skin. You might think that all you need is a sweat hand cream to treat all your skin issues on your hands but do you know that like your face, you can create a skin care regimen specifically for the hands?

Here are basic aspects of a good hand-care routine that will give you soft and supple skin all around:

Like the rest of your face, you need to protect your hands as well especially since it’s more prone to damage than the rest of your body. Remember that you do every task you have in a day with your hands which means it comes in contact with harsh elements and chemicals without you even knowing. Over time, you’ll end up with irreversible skin damage and premature aging if you don’t make an effort to protect your hands right now. Despite being able to handle more than sensitive skin on the facial area, your hands also need a sunscreen lotion that can moisturize as well. You can also use any sweat hand cream that has a good amount of SPF. Hand Care products are easier to reapply throughout the day so you can also carry a good sus protect lotion that you can use anytime you need the protection. Take note though that like the facial area, people may have different reactions to lotions used on your hands so try to test a lotion on a small patch of skin near your hands especially if you have any allergies or acne prone skin.

Your hands need to get exfoliated too! In the same manner that your face needs exfoliation to stimulate skin cell turnover, so do your hands. They need regular exfoliation as well to slough away dead skin cells that may build up and flake over time. Also, your hands go through so much harsher activities especially during manual labor so they get exposed to more foreign elements and dirt. You need to do some maintenance to keep that dead skin in check. There are many products out there that have gentle exfoliants. Don’t use products that would be too harsh on the skin as this may cause more damage than good. Remember that you are exfoliating – not trying to damage your skin.

Hand cream is a key element in your Hand Care regimen. And you don’t want to choose just any sweat hand cream you can find online or in the grocery store. You want to take a look at the ingredients and find those that can give optimal nourishment and moisture. Give your hands the same love you give your face! Hyaluronic acid has been a well-loved ingredient by the skin care community because it just locks in moisture that your skin needs. Although you don’t want to over-moisturize your hands. It might just end up as sweat and irritate skin rather than nourish it. So a secretion sucking ingredient such as rice extract will be perfect to go with the Hyaluronic acid.
