B.MILES EXPLORES THE DUALITY OF CHASING A DREAM ON DEBUT ALBUM IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE (OCTOBER 16)

B.Miles has announced her debut album In Order of Appearance, out October 16 via Moon Crawl Records / AWAL. This ten song collection finds the New York-based “true force in alt pop” (PAPER) mining the spaces between her rising profile as a musician and the day-to-day realities of simply being Brenna Miles – trudging through a mundane day job at 8AM, playing music with her best friends at 8PM, stepping off stage from a sold-out show at 1AM and getting up to do it all over again. As B.Miles re-sets the limits of what her music can sound like, In Order of Appearance marks this “mesmerizing” (The FADER) musician’s most genuinely complete statement to date, a work undoubtedly deserving of its place as her debut.

On October 15, in advance of the debut album, B.Miles will host Opening Night; a virtual concert experience featuring her five-piece band performing each of the record’s ten tracks amidst visual art and installations inspired by the collection. In Order of Appearance finds Miles expanding on a sound that’s been described as “stirring emotions and feelings we forgot we had” (Ladygunn). It’s a style that’s also helped her garner over 20 million Spotify streams on her breakthrough single “Salt,” work with Netflix on the theme song for the original drama Cable Girls, open for artists like Noname and BadBadNotGood and sell out Bowery Ballroom in her adoptive hometown of New York.

On this album, B.Miles is joined as always by her trusted musical collaborators and second family, including songwriting partner Eric Nizgretsky, producers Noise Club, Jackson Firlik and Matias Quarleri and live band members Rob Seeley and Michael Alexander. Together, along with fellow New York musicians Kirk Schoenherr, Tim Lappin and Ethan Krivoshey, the group sets an expansive backdrop as Miles gets real about the internal strife of chasing her dreams.
