Roundup: the Hot Half dozen for August 10, 2020

Rayula. video by Cunao.  Cunao releases a stop motion music video of the single “La Luna Y La Ballena” from the Rayula album, created and directed by Junior M & Axel Slingand,  that  tells the odd love story between the moon and a whale. So much fun I had to include it.

Wheels of Laredo. Single by Kris Angelis. A cover of the Tanya Tucker song written by Tim Hanseroth, Phil Hanseroth, & Brandi Carlile, Angelis brings emotion a to this piece of American history in song.  Beautiful.  Stream/download on Bandcamp.

All This Time. Album by Heather Anne Lomax.  Lomax goes beyond country blues rock with this Elvis-influenced album, as evidenced by the single “Better Luck”.  Pounding beats, beguiling lyrics, a voice both familiar and unique.  She puts it all together for this album. Available at

Our Love, single by Flor de Toloache. The Latin Grammy winning New York-based mariachi deliver the fourth single off their latest album Indestructible,  with  collaborations that include Alex Cuba, Miguel and John Legend. It will have you swaying and crying.  On all streaming platforms.

Cuando Quieras Llegar. Single by Diamante Electrico.  The fun guys of Latin Rock have done it again.  Rocking rhythms, fun lyrics, and a twinkle with every measure.  A fun earworm. Stream on all platforms.
