Restaurants with an unusual feature that are worth visiting when traveling

A romantic dinner or friendly gatherings in the company, a business meeting, or celebration of a significant date are often transferred to the restaurant. This creates a special atmosphere, making the event memorable. Usually, places are chosen based on the menu and service culture, but there are some restaurants where the entourage plays the biggest role.

It goes without saying that the entourage is also accompanied by delicious food with excellent service. In our review, there are five interesting restaurants in different parts of the world that are worth visiting when going on a trip. But do not forget that there are still many interesting leisure activities, for example, Gclub, with an abundance of video slots-a category that has earned popularity due to the active combination of simple algorithms and the presence of a plot. Slot machines allow you to choose a model with suitable technical parameters, design, and audio accompaniment.

Catacombs, Pennsylvania, USA

For those who don’t have claustrophobia, the Catacombs restaurant offers to plunge into the atmosphere of antiquity, going down 43 feet (13 meters) under the stone arches of the catacombs in the old cellars of the Bube’s brewery. Arched caves with huge barrels and flickering lights create a mystical atmosphere.

Visitors are offered luxury themed holidays and dinners with mysterious “murders”, as well as ghost tours for those who believe in the existence of otherworldly entities. The brewery’s owners say that about 20 people have already seen ghosts, and even claim that their ghosts are bilingual.

In 2012, a team of Ghostbusters from the SyFy channel found some evidence of paranormal phenomena and now helps to conduct excursions, entertaining visitors with stories about supernatural phenomena.

Treepod Dining, Soneva Kiri resort, Thailand

Soneva Kiri resort on Koh Kood island offers an unforgettable vacation that combines extraordinary luxury and proximity to nature. There is an unusual restaurant where you can feel like a bird, enjoying Thai dishes from products grown here on this island.

The tables are located in wicker baskets that mimic a bird’s nest and are located on a tree at a considerable height-about five meters. Customers take their places on the ground, and then the basket goes up. It offers such a stunning view of the azure waters and the rainforest that even people who are afraid of heights are happy to visit the restaurant.

El Diablo, Lanzarote island, Spain

El Diablo restaurant attracts visitors with dishes prepared on the “underground fire” and extraordinary panoramic views of the island and the Timanfaya National Park. The restaurant is located at the top of an active volcano, and the cooks do not need any gas, firewood, or electricity to cook their meals.

They cook their food on a grill set right above a hole in the ground that leads to a pool of lava:

  • delicious sausages and steaks,
  • poultry,
  • fish and vegetables in the volcanic heat

They are prepared in some minutes, and anyone can watch the chefs preparing food. The volcano is considered not dangerous, it does not explode by eruptions. However, the realization that there is splashing volcanic lava under hidden basalt slabs adds adrenaline in the blood.

Dans le Noir?: Paris, London, Barcelona, Saint Petersburg, Cairo, Melbourne

Dans le Noir? restaurant offers to experience an unusual gastronomic experience: taste food “blindly”, focusing only on the taste perception and smell. Visitors enter the hall in complete darkness, lined up one behind the other, and putting their hand on the shoulder of the person in front of them and feel their way to the tables with the help of a waiter.

You can’t choose a particular dish here, just decide on the type of menu. Red – for meat lovers, green-for those who prefer vegetables and fruits, blue-for fans of seafood and white-for those who like puzzles, because the composition of dishes from the chef will be unknown. You can find out what exactly was on the menu only at the exit of the restaurant hall.
