But #GOALS is more than just wanting attention for our pictures on Instagram! It’s about the mentality behind something you’ve worked so hard to achieve. Maybe it’s doing better at a sport, or picking up a new hobby. For a lot of us, it’s trying to start a healthy lifestyle. But where does one start? Here’s a few tips and tricks to keep in mind that could definitely help you begin your journey:

1. Know why you want to do it

Ask yourself this: What are my lifestyle goals? It’s hard to embark on a lifestyle change when you don’t know why you’re doing it in the first place. Make sure that your goals are clear and concrete! In that way, you won’t lose sight of what you want to achieve.

2. Know who you’re doing it for

Don’t do it just because society pressures you to do so. Do it for yourself because you want to! You are the master of your life, and no one can tell you otherwise. Sure, starting your healthy living journey can make great changes to your relationships and work life. But at the end of the day, you gotta do it for you!

3. Getting on the right state of mind 

Now that you know why and who you’re doing this for, it’s time to get into the right mindset. It’s okay to be scared and anxious about stepping out of your comfort zones. That’s always part of the process, but also make sure not to cloud your head with too many negative thoughts. Learn to live and let go! Find what motivates and inspires you.

4. Do your research 

Don’t miss out on researching fitness programs at your local gym and other important health-related information. Look up on the things you should know before embarking on your healthy living journey. If possible, consult with health experts and specialists so that they can guide you as well.

5. Consistency is the key

All of the things mentioned above can only do so much. The key here is to build healthy habits and to follow a routine that works for you. In no time, you’ll be able to see the results you’ve worked hard for!

Love yourself and the world will love you back

Self-love has been all over social media and because of this, we’re constantly finding ways to love ourselves better each and every day. Whether it’s trying to get back on track with workout routines, taking ourselves out for a date, or simply satisfying a sweet tooth craving. Self-love comes in different forms to achieve our own happiness.

But self-love is more than those things. Self-love is about self-acceptance. It’s about letting yourself feel good about your body and embracing your flaws and imperfections. Take good care of yourself and let go of negative thoughts. When you love yourself, people will start to notice how you shine and glow!

Let’s be honest. Sometimes, there are days when we can’t seem to find the motivation to workout. Same routine, different day. But did you know that something as simple as switching up your gym clothes can actually help you get your grind on?
