A Ray of Sunshine for Sreesanth

IPL is the cricket ground which has gifted careers to many cricketers. However, at the same time, there are some incidents due to which many of the cricketers’ careers have been spoiled very badly. One of such cricketers is S Shanthakumaran Nair  Sreesanth. He is known as one of the good bowlers of the Indian cricket team. In 2013, he was banned from cricket due to a spot-fixing case in the IPL. Since then, his career got stopped and he was banned from all formats of cricket for 7 years. Now, in the coming September, his ban is going to be over and this is really good news for him as well as his fans. Now one more good news is coming from him.

This ban of seven years was actually not just for seven years. When it started, BCCI banned him for life from cricket which was not a correct decision according to Sreesanth. Therefore he decided to go against this matter and he applied against this decision in court. It took quite a long time for the result to come out and in 2018, the High court of Kerala gave the decision in favour of Sreesanth and cancelled the lifetime ban on him. However, in 2019 the Supreme court acted on it again and kept the ban on Sreesanth continuing. But the ban on this time was not for a lifetime but for seven years only whose major part has been passed by Sreesanth already. Now when this ban is going to be over in the coming September, he and his fan following are very happy.

Along with this good news, one more news is coming according to which, from this September when the ban time will be over, he will join the Ranji team of his state. The 37-year-old cricketer must be feeling very happy with these two good news for the same month.

According to gambleoasis.com, after all of this Sreesanth has stated that he will be obliged for the state cricket authority who gave him a second chance to prove him once again. He also said that before the match starts he will regain his actual fitness of a bowler which will be beneficial for the team and him. Recently a former fast bowler Tinu Yohanan was selected as the coach of the team and on this occasion, the KCA has said the return of Sreesanth in the state team would actually be a property for them.

We all know that Sreesanth has given some very good performances during his International career when he was playing on the behalf of the Indian cricket team. He had taken 87 wickets in 27 cricket matches before he was banned.  In ODI, he had taken 75 wickets. He has also been in the last of two world cups which India won in 2007 and 2011. In 2007 India won the first, t20 world cup in the captaincy of MS dhoni and in 2011, India won 50-50 world cup in the captaincy of Dhoni again.
