Interview: James Luctamar

Hi James Luctamar! How are you?

I’m great! Glad to be here.

Where are you from?

Westchester, Ny

What is your greatest inspiration for your music?

Pentatonix is what influenced me to musically string songs together with my piano medley. I was always fascinated by how they were able to seamlessly flow to other songs in one composition. The piano guys also inspired me as well.

What are 3 words that describe your music?

Engaging, Melodious, Moving

What is the hardest subject you’ve ever written about?

So I learn all of my music from ear. All of my covers are composed from my musical ear and nothing is written down.

What are the challenges of being an artist?

Stringing a medley that would not only captivate my listeners attention but have them guessing to what song I will change through every second. I want to make sure every second is exhilarating for my audience.

Are you planning on releasing new music soon?

Yes, first week of August.
