INTERVIEW: Justine Blazer

Welcome Justine! It’s great to chat with you today! You recently released a new single with Ethan Cole, tell us about it.

Sure.  That was actually a song I produced and mixed for a sync licensing company I work with in California for a potential placement opportunity.  I asked the writers, Shawn Sackman and Corey Lee Barker if I could post it on Facebook and they agreed.  Ethan is a great singer and I was happy to do a duet with him.  I really like the track and I hope it gets a placement!

If you could collaborate with any artist this year, who would it be?

I would love to collaborate with Judy Garland.  I love that era of music.  So authentic and timeless.  She is one of my favorite singers ever.  “Over the Rainbow” has to be one of my all time favorite songs ever.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Canton, MI.  It’s a suburb of Detroit.

What inspires your music?

So many things!  It’s usually the trials and tribulations that give you experience.  You don’t learn and grow if things are complacent and easy.  You learn and grow through challenges.  That’s where I am able to channel inspiration and make it useful and positive.

How did you spend your time during quarantine?

Writing, producing, producing, writing… and eating lol.  Other than gaining the COVID-15 (15 pounds that is haha) I LOVED quarantine.  At first I didn’t because my normal “routine” came to a complete stop but then I started letting my mind open up and I did write and produce some the my best tracks I have ever done.  I am so thrill for my progression and development as a producer and songwriter because of this gift of time.

If you could play any venue, where would it be?

Red Rocks!  I love Colorado and that venue is iconic!  One day!

Where can we check out your music and connect with you on social media?

Sure! is my website.  I’m on Instagram and Facebook.  Search Justine Blazer!
