Hi Parx, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Yeah I’m good thanks! Happy things are slowly returning to normal.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Feel Right Now”?

Yeah course!

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Not really to be honest, was just a case where the sample popped into my head and thought I’d try a modern version of it.

Any plans to release any sort of video for the track?

Yeah I think so! Videos normally come out a while after the song to help keep the moment building so I’m sure that will happen.

How was the recording and writing process?

You hear it a lot where artists say the song just happened really quickly and this happened with this song. I went into the studio with Jin Jin and Nonô with basically the sample and a beat and we came out with the whole song.

What made you want to reimagine “Axel F”? Was it this the case from the get-go or were you drawn into it?

I’ve been a massive fan of The Beverly Hill Cop movies and the soundtrack and obviously Crazy Frog used it too so was slightly sceptical to use it but thought may as well try it.

What is it about the 80s that you find so fascinating?

To be honest everything about the 80’s fascinates me, from the bold fashion and pastel colours to the quirky cars and retro futuristic gadgets.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Yeah definitely! Ive got a few tracks sorted so will see which one comes next.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

No not yet, tracks at the moment are taking quite a while to build so im guessing nearer the end of the year but who knows.

Any plans to hit the road?

Once lockdown is over for sure! Excited to play out again

What else is happening next in Parx’s world?

Not much apart from music! Now I’ve sorted my own music I really want to start producing for other people.
