Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want a fancy night out on the town with your friends, you’ll be sure to have the upscale, fine-dining experience at one of these five restaurants in Chicago.
1723 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL
Located in Lincoln Park, Alinea is one of the most well-known Contemporary American restaurants in the city of Chicago, not only for the food but for the price as well. This spot actually requires a ticket to get in (we recommend booking your reservation in advance). Treat yourselves to The Gallery Menu, which is the restaurant’s 18-course tasting option.
2610 North Cannon Dr, Chicago, IL
Want a dining experience with an unforgettable atmosphere? You’ll want to head over to the North Pond, located in Lincoln Park. This is a great spot for a night out with your other half, as the dining environment is incredibly intimate, since it is situated right beside a pond in the park. The menu offers innovative American cuisine selections and seasonal tastings that you won’t want to miss out on. Pair your meal with wine or a cocktail and it won’t be any surprise why North Pond is such an exquisite choice for fine dining.

This West Loop restaurant serves New American fare that will undoubtedly please your taste buds. Don’t let the casual appearance fool you though, this Michelin-starred spot is stylish, intimate, and definitely upscale, making it a fantastic date destination. Tucked away in an alleyway, you’d never guess that this spot was a fine-dining hit just from the exterior. Located on Chicago’s west side, EL ideas is a high-end restaurant that serves Contemporary American fare, with an intimate yet elevated atmosphere within its industrial-chic walls. There is something for everyone on this menu, but take it from us, you’ll want to try the Thai-style crab.

For those who love classic French cuisine, this is the spot for you. Located in River North, Brindille uses the finest quality ingredients to create flawless dishes for each and every one of its courses. Don’t forget to add a wine pairing to your experience to really top it all off! On top of everything this restaurant has to offer, the environment here encompasses you in a modern yet sophisticated vibe.
