The 2020 Award Winning Entrepreneur, Andrew Anastasiou

Andrew Anastasiou, the 31-year-old entrepreneur from London has become a giant in the payments industry in recent times as a result of his talents and expertise in managing the arduous and challenging Fintech and banking environment when it comes to sending and receiving payments.

Born on the 11th of December, 1988, the entrepreneur has been featured in some of the industry’s most respectable publications and has even provided expert opinions and been quoted by publications in regards to the turmoil that has hit the finance industry recently. He also gave an expert opinion relating to the rumors that PayPal, the payments behemoth may be getting ready to introduce a crypto wallet to their services.

Andrew Anastasiou is also award-winning, having won 3 awards in 2020. His first award was the European Start-up Entrepreneur Award which was handed to him for his skills in setting up projects quickly, building the platform, and acquiring clients. He then quickly won the European Scale-up Entrepreneur award on the grounds that he had shown high levels of talent with taking his start-up projects to profitable levels rapidly, further enabling him to create more projects instantaneously. Finally, Andrew Anastasiou was awarded the United Kingdom’s Future 100 Award. The Future 100 Award is given to entrepreneurs between the ages of 20-35 who have created lives for themselves and others from their accomplishments and know-how in their chosen fields.

In 2016, Andrew Anastasiou started his first company which provides services in the form of financial licensing, company incorporations, and legal services. This business quickly grew from servicing local companies to providing solutions to businesses from all over the world, including Asia and Australia. In 2017 it was reported that this company had over 1000 corporate clients registered with them and had successfully obtained 12 licenses for their customers. In 2018 the entrepreneur incorporated his digital payments platform and his online banking platform, both companies experience rapid growth and boast some 10,000+ clients, both corporate and individual that use the services of the companies for sending and receiving payments globally. The online banking service provides SEPA virtual IBANs to send and receive payments in euro throughout the European Union, and also allows multi-currency eWallet accounts to be obtained in order to connect the users of the platform to the SWIFT network to make non-EU transactions.

Andrew Anastasiou is also in the process of further increasing his foothold in the Fintech industry by obtaining a secondary banking license. This will enable to entrepreneur to provide services such as loans, insurance and credit facilities to businesses and individuals within the European Union. A cash-to-voucher solution is also being implemented by Andrew Anastasiou, securing his connection to over 500 million people who do not currently have access to pay for services or goods online. The cash-to-voucher service is starting in Kenya but is expected to become main-stream all over the African continent as well as making its way to South America in 2022.

The entrepreneur is assuredly making his way through the ranks of experts in the finance industry, and with awards being handed to the 31-year-old recognizing his passion for his industry and his expertise in the field, we hope to hear more about him and see him shine even more.
