Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Thank you for having us!

It was a challenging time for all of us, but we tried to stay focus on our music and to work in studio for a new material.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Falling”?

We are so exciting about our new single, I think we couldn’t sleep well for a week…

Falling is about hope, love and how we all need to rise again.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Well, our music is inspired from our life and maybe this why feels so personal…

When I wrote falling, I was in a tough time, I was having a kind of a breakdown because I felt that I couldn’t find myself and I couldn’t love … I was losing my way.

How was the filming process and experience behind the video?

The video is filmed in two countries, in Romania and UK. Because of coronavirus we had to improvise therefore some of the shots were recorded in my backyard, here in UK.

All the scenes that you see on stage were captured   during our concerts and we had to adapt to the new script. We changed a little bit the concept and this video is making a difference from the other videos we released.

We are so lucky to release Falling (including the video) in this difficult moment, it was strange to film in these conditions and to wear the mask with all make-up and stuff, but we think the video is going well and we are proud of it.

How was the recording and writing process?

It was not easy because of everything that was happening around the world.

I start to write music because for me it is more natural to sing but I could express myself easily in this way.

Falling was written in my depression time, a while ago but the lyrics flowed easily in this context.

What role does Romania play in your music?

We think that Romania has a good taste and quality in music, and we like to mix sounds and messages in our songs.

As you target a new demographic and audience – have you been tempted to change style or have you stick to your sound?

I think our style and sound changed a little bit in the last years but this is because we became more mature as artists.

With the major reception you’ve gotten – does that put any pressure on you guys as you work on a new material or rather the opposite?

Pressure is out of question …We are so excited for what we achieved till now and we are working constantly for the new material we are preparing.

How has the likes of Keane and Depeche Mode influenced your music?

We found ourselves in their style and in their way of expressing their music.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Our intention is to release a new material soon and we work a lot for this.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

We hope to be ready in October with the new song, the name of the song will likely to be “YOU”.

Any plans to hit the road?

Why not? 🙂 .. if everything will go as planned, we will start a tour this autumn.

What else is happening next in PUBLIKA’ world?

We prepare in August a big event in London, on the roof of a very important building … It will be something that we never done before. Stay tuned 😉
