Melody Maker was the first ever weekly music publication launched in 1926. For decades after its beginning, it concentrated on JAZZ music and was largely aimed at musicians who depended on its classified ads to look for jobs.

Melody Makers captures the birth of music journalism during the zeitgeist of rock ‘n’ roll when Rock was in its infancy and Barrie Wentzell, Chief Contributing Photographer of the magazine (1965-1975) and his colleagues had unprecedented access to the music during this historic period
Featuring never-before-seen photographs of Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix, Ray Davies, Frank Zappa, Patti Smith and many others.

Raindance hosted the world premier of the film back in 2018.
