Joesef joins Orville Peck and Rina Sawayama as the faces of the campaign, putting him among the first in Spotify Singles history to create a cover at home. “Thinking Of You” was self-produced and recorded in lockdown by Joesef, refreshing the smooth funk cut with his signature dulcet vocal and dreamy guitar lines.

Speaking about the release Joesef says, “Thinking of You is one of those songs that’s sort of followed me my entire life, I can remember singing it with my mum when I was a really wee baby, and even to this day I’m singing it arm in arm with my mates two days into a bender. For me, the tune is about that pure joy you get from loving someone unconditionally, that rare special kind of love. It’s been pretty heavy the past few months, but I hope at least one person can take a few moments of happiness from the cover.”

Alongside an intimate, self-shot artwork and a recommendation to listen “if you want a wee dance.” Joesef also shares the making of the cover in an entertaining montage, including clips sent from James Harker and Tobie Tripp who worked collaboratively within isolation measures to provide rhythm guitar, bass and violin for the track.
