3 Ways You Can Deal With Private Numbers

If you have noticed, there are times where hold our phone for almost the entire day. We are constantly checking to see what’s going on online, and sometimes, we are actively receiving phone calls. In most cases, when your phone rings, the first thing you normally do is find out who is calling you. But what happens if you don’t know who’s calling?

You will instantly have second thoughts on whether you should answer the phone or not. It might be one of your relatives trying to call you, or it could be a random call from someone you don’t know. If you don’t answer it, how will you find out who’s behind the call? Today, we will show you three ways you can deal with calls with a private number.

Last Call Return

One of the ways that you return a private number call for free is by dialing *69. It is a North American Numbering Plan Administration’s universal VSC or Vertical Service Code. You can do this method through the Last Call Return. It will allow you to automatically call back the recent number that tried to call you.

If someone called you through your landline, you could dial *69. On the other hand, if you are using a smartphone, you can dial #69. If you are planning on doing this method, make sure that you do it within 30 minutes since most mobile service providers set a time limit as to how long you can do the Last Call Return.

TrapCall

Another way you can reveal the identity of a private number is by using third-party apps such as TrapCall. It is a paid service app that allows you to unmask any private number. The app has useful features that can provide you with the mobile number and the provider’s name that the mobile is registered to.

It will also give you information about the caller’s address and add the number to the blacklist feature of the app if you want to stop the number from calling you again. So, if you want to find out information about the person behind the call, this app is perfect for you. The app can be downloaded on Android and iOS.

Reverse Phone Lookup

If you found some information about the private number and are looking for additional information, you can do so using reverse phone lookup. You can perform a reverse phone lookup by typing in the number in Google. By doing this, it will automatically search the number for you and give you all the information you need.

Most of the time, if you are looking for a full report of the private number, you may have to pay a fee. However, if the method doesn’t work and the service isn’t able to provide you with the information you need, your money can be refunded. Also, you won’t be able to perform the reverse phone lookup if you are dealing with spoofed calls.

Takeaway

Receiving a call from a private number can sometimes lead us in a confusing state. If we don’t answer the phone call, it can leave us thinking who that was. Luckily, we already have different ways to deal with these private numbers. If the methods above did not work for you, there are still other methods that you can find on the internet.
