Gianluca Gallo was born in 1974 in Agrigento, a city on the southern coast of Sicily, Italy.
He started playing guitar at the age of 12 and within 1 year he was able to enter the Music Conservatory of Palermo, a prestigious musical institution founded in 1889 for talented young musicians. Gianluca Gallo fomed his first band at the age of 16. It was a Rock band and it gets him some recognition among music enthusiasts. He usually compose and sing his own own songs. His rock songs started to get noticed by Italian music lovers and he was called for audition by several agencies which hosts various musical shows. During this time he also performed with famous singers such as Francesco Baccini, Luca Barbarossa, Andrea Mingardi &Los Locos.
In 1998 Gianluca Gallo released his song Quanto Tempo and it finally give him the success he deserved. The song became an instant hit among locals, especially in Sicily and southern Italy. He became a proper celebrity and was invited on several radio and TV shows.
Furthering his advances in his music career, Gianluca Gallo begins his Pop Rock Tour of Sicilian squares in 1999. His Pop Rock songs, composed by him, was met with positive review with audience reaching upto 5000 people in some piazzas in Italy.
After his small tour, he released his first CD titled Un tuffo al Mare in 2001. Many of the songs were electro-pop-Latin style and they give another boost and he started another tour of 10 dates in various Italy piazzas.
In 2007, Gianluca Gallo realeased È Tardi Arrivederci and that song puts him on the big stage, The song got featured in a television commercial and then it became the most popular requested song on over 400 national radio stations.
