Produced by Rich Turvey (Blossoms, Clean Cut Kid) ‘Butterfly Brain’ embodies Full Colour’s fresh and dynamic sound over raucous guitars, rhythmic hooks and a wide-screen sing-along chorus. Bringing frontman Conrad Berriff’s soaring and velvet-like vocals to the fore, ‘Butterfly Brain’ dwells on the rollercoaster of emotions that come attached to every relationship.
Speaking about the track, frontman Conrad reveals: “Butterfly Brain was one of those songs that seemingly just writes itself. It began with Alex (guitar) sending me the main guitar riff and I knew immediately what it was going to be about: love, loss, the aftermath of all of that. The idea of putting this person you have feelings for up on a pedestal whilst denouncing yourself unwarrantedly. It’s a lot of questions and not really a lot of answers.”
Full Colour are: Conrad Berriff (vocals), Will Bolton (guitar), Alex Holdsworth (guitar), Henry Strangeway (bass) and Dillon Harrison (drums). The five-piece, based between Huddersfield and Halifax, whose members range from between 16-18 years old, formed last year and have already toured with Vistas, Bloxx, Larkins, Love Fame Tragedy, and chosen to perform at The Great Escape’s First 50 show in December.
2020 is set to be a milestone for this bright new band as they build on their already fervent fanbase and spread their wings even wider. With debut single ‘Times Change’, produced by Larry Hibbit (Nothing But Thieves, Sundara Karma), mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Pale Waves) and mixed by Tom Longworth (Vistas), collecting more than 50,000 views on YouTube in under a week.
