Gerry Mancuso is an instrumentalist and songwriter hailing from Valley Stream, New York. Gerry produces and arranges a fusion of classic, contemporary instrumental guitar, progressive, and metal rock music. He has always had a passion for music and started his musical journey as an Audio Engineering major at Five Towns College.
Instead of pursuing his true love of music, he spent the start of his adulthood as a slave to the grind. After working for 20 years as a warehouse manager, he became frustrated and felt like he was wasting his life away at a day job that didn’t offer him any inspiration. “I learned to never give up your dreams for anyone else’s opinions on what they think you should do,” said Gerry.
He began following his dreams when he released his first album, “Oceans” in 2005. His first album has 16-tracks and helped him to realize his true calling in life. “To me, music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy,” said Garry. Four years later, he released his second album, “Revelations” which speaks to the rock, metal, and instrumental genres, but is also reminiscent of 80s hair metal.
His newest album, “Prophesy” garnered international attention, receiving attention and praise from Serbia in Time Machine Music, Spain on Rocktopia Radio, and Poland on the Last Breath of Wind Podcast. Gerry poured blood, sweat, and tears into his newest album, completing the nine tracks on his own. The last track of the album, “Final Frontiers” features a guest collaboration with Derek Sherinian from Dream Theater/Planet X.
Mancuso is also a guitar instructor and produces/arranges his own materials. “My advice to aspiring, young artists is to harness your God-given talents so you can bless the lives and souls of others.” He has also released 3 singles this year, and a new single will be dropping in a few weeks. In addition, he is working on his 5th album now.
