When Berlin-based artist-producer Mogul and recently gold certified Roman artist-producer-songwriter BVRGER joined forces on “Good Company”they were not aware of their shared work effort on said song. Sometimes – when scheduling problems are preventing a collaboration – new ways have to be discovered.
BVRGER: “To be honest, I didn’t know my vocals for “Good Company” would end up with Mogul.”
Mogul: “After Marc – BVRGER’s and my fellow manager – sent me BVRGER’s vocals, I knew I had to produce something special around his special performance.”
Mogul always had an eye on getting fellow SOULUVMUZIQ-collective member BVRGER on atrack and the love and willingness had been equally shared by the Roman. A quick link was all it would take to get this collaboration rolling. After receiving BVRGER’s vocals, Mogul drew up a first demo inside 24 hours and from there onwards, the two exchanged ideas and recordings via internet to perfect their collaboration. A love story wrapped into an energetic production.
“Good Company”is an homage to all special women.
The ones that help to manoeuvre their partners out of dark phases – the constant reoccurring ups and downs.
Even if one has its own problems and far from being a perfect partner.
“I know I am not like the chilled dude
The one who does make you feel good
But I will always have your back
If you have mine when I feel blue”
Mogul’s back catalogue – from a lyrical point of view – deals a lot with special partnerships, romance, how to uplift spirits and happiness while being undeniably groovy and danceable.
Something many people attest to BVRGER’s music as well. And said chemistry becomes graspable on “Good Company” from the beginning.
“Good Company” marks the first ofMogul’s own releases in 2020 and will be followed by moremusic over the coming months.
