Is Buying Weed Online Safe? 7 Things You Need to Know About Buying Pot Online

According to one survey, about 12% of American adults have admitted that they smoke marijuana.

If you’re in that growing percentage of Americans who have discovered the benefits of weed, you may be wondering how to purchase it.

The laws are always changing, and you may be able to buy marijuana online now!

But is buying weed online safe to do? How can you pick a reputable dispensary? Here’s what you need to know before you order your pot off the internet.

1. They Won’t Deliver Everywhere

One thing you should know is that just because you can order it online doesn’t mean that they’ll deliver it anywhere.

Many people are under the assumption that you can buy it online even if it’s not legal in your state. However, that’s not how it works.

If you don’t live somewhere where you can use cannabis medicinally or recreationally, then they will not deliver it to you. Then they would be in violation of breaking the law, and they could lose their license. They may even get arrested.

2. Check If It’s Legal In Your State

It’s hard to get a license to sell marijuana, so many businesses won’t want to take any risks delivering it to you if it’s illegal in your state.

If you don’t live in a state where marijuana is legal, don’t try and order it online. Some companies who are willing to ship things to you even though it’s illegal in your state could not be the most legit business. Then you’re putting yourself in danger by not knowing if that weed is safe to smoke or not.

Even then, if they are legit and ship it to you, you risk having the postal service or some other shipping company confiscate it and report you and the business.

3. Buying Online Can Be Safer

Once weed was legalized in California, many people thought there would be dispensaries and trucks popping up everywhere, ready to sell their marijuana products.

Instead, many California towns and counties have banned brick-and-mortar stores. That’s why so many companies turned to sell their product online. Some people even still sell it on the streets to get around these rules.

However, these laws have also offered a way for counterfeit and shady companies to start selling their products. Some of these products look legit and like the real deal, but they may end up making you sick.

Because you can check the licensing and read reviews of the online companies, they are a lot safer alternatives than the shady options you may have on the street.

4. Read Reviews Before You Buy

While buying online may be safer, you still have to be smart about it as well.

Before you buy a product, you should make sure that you read as many reviews on it as you can. If you know someone who’s bought from that company and had a good experience, that’s even better.

Because it’s a fairly new business, there are plenty of scam companies out there as well as legitimate ones. You should do your research and then narrow it down to a few good businesses.

Yelp and Google Reviews can always help give you feedback as to what people think about the company. You can also check their social media posts to see what people are commenting about.

The more reviews you can find and read, the more you’ll be able to trust the company.

5. You Can Use Your Credit Card

When you buy CBD oil online, or any other weed product for that matter, you’ll also be able to use your credit card.

Being able to shop online and use your credit or debit card is also an added bonus of buying weed online.

For most dispensaries, you’ll have to pay in cash. This is because the businesses aren’t legal everywhere, so the dispensary isn’t able to put in your card information and get their money back.

Online doesn’t have to be that difficult though. Some online dispensaries are also starting to accept cryptocurrencies.

6. Understand the Risks

Before you buy weed online, make sure that you understand all of the risks that you take. Especially if you’re going to try and do it illegally. If you get caught by law enforcement, it could be bad for both of you.

If a carrier service suspects that there is marijuana or something else illegal in there, they have a right to search it. If you get caught, you could face jail time or fines.

You also have to make sure that you aren’t buying a sketchy service. You don’t want to buy something that you think only has CBD in it and receive a product that is pure THC like on drogen bestellen.

7. Check the Bureau of Cannabis Control

Even though weed is legalized in California, there are still plenty of illegal businesses.

While you may not get bad weed from a company like that, you should try and buy from legitimate ones. One great tool you can use is the Bureau of Cannabis Control.

They can search through the business laws in the state of California. If the store you’re going to buy from is licensed, you’re probably safe.
