Interview: Jeweler and Designer Jason Stavrianidis

Hello Jason Stavrianidis! How are you?

I am doing great! Despite the coronavirus situation, I am taking this time to reflect on how I can better myself, my brand, and my business!

What is your occupation?

I am a fifth generation professional jeweler, diamond specialist, and jewelry designer at our family’s jewelry store.

Who was one person that helped you to get to where you are today?

My father has definitely helped me get to where I am today. He has dedicated his entire life to giving us the best life possible, and for that, I am forever thankful. He constantly motivates me to be better than the man I was yesterday, and has taught me so many valuable lessons that I’ve been able to implement in and out of my professional life. Most importantly, my father taught me how to communicate effectively, make people like me, increase my ability to get things done, be a more effective leader, and above all, how to win friends and influence people. If it weren’t for my father, I wouldn’t be half the man I am today.

How do you build your clients trust?

I think our reputation alone builds trust from the very beginning. The fact that we have over 500+ Five Star Google reviews, have been voted Best of the Best jeweler 6 years in a row, and are known to be NJ’s #1 Bridal Source speaks volumes about who we are and how we operate. Above all, I always enjoy sharing our familys’ story with my client’s and letting them know that what we do isn’t just a job for us, it’s our life. My grandfather and father spent 40+ years creating our establishment and building our reputation from the ground up. I wouldn’t dare jeopardize the integrity of my family’s reputation, and that’s why I make it my goal to exceed expectations every single time. I carry my grandfather’s legacy with pride, commitment, and passion, and I use that legacy to instill trust into my clients.

What separates you from other competitors?

Even though we have been around for many decades, we continue to offer a small-town friendly atmosphere when our clients enter the store. What separates us from our competitors is that feeling of trust and being able to deal with a friend, rather than a “salesperson”. We truly care about our clients’ needs, and delivering a product that will leave everyone wow’d… it’s not just about our bottom line. We want to be remembered as being the BEST jewelry store, and have an impact in our clients’ lives. For us, this is the most important task at hand. Additionally, the fact that we have been around for 40 years, and are proud to be a Fifth generation jeweler, is just another one of our attributes that differentiates us between our competitors. Let’s face it, in today’s day and age, it is extremely difficult to maintain a business, let alone, survive and thrive for 40 years straight…. that alone says something. We must be doing something right, and it obviously is working. To conclude, the main principles of our company’s longevity are our inspired connection to this very noble profession and our immeasurable affinity to our extended family- our valued clients.
