The Goldy lockS Band, fronted by rocker and former pro wrestling personality Goldy Locks, presents a new music video for the group’s cover of “Black,” a Pearl Jam song. The effort is focused on raising awareness of child abuse prevention, and the video includes a prompt to contact 1-800-4-A-CHILD, the National Child Abuse Hotline (https://www.childhelp.org/).
The updated cover of “Black” features the Goldy lockS Band in a stirring new rendition with a moving music video.
“Child abuse must remain a top priority in America,” Goldy Locks says. “These precious souls with no voice grow up wondering what they did wrong.”
Goldy hopes that the song and video serve as a way to start a conversation, and for people to be more aware of the children around them. “When you look at the problems in the world, so often it stems from something that went horribly wrong at an early age in the lives of the human beings causing those problems.”
The band, which normally maintains a rigorous touring schedule, decided to do the song and video as a type of Public Service Announcement. The Goldy lockS Band takes a raw and real approach to “Black,” which seems most fitting for the subject matter.
