Ohio-based progressive metal band Iravera has shared a new lyric video for their latest single “Heavy.” The title does not disappoint, as the track provides a diverse onslaught of Djent riffs, harsh screams, and adventurous breakdowns that should make any genre gatekeeper nod their head in approval.
“It’s a song about losing someone in your life that meant the world to you,” says clean vocalist Nick Figley. “This could be a death in the family or a bad breakup but either way, we all feel that emptiness inside that seems like it will never go away because that person isn’t around anymore.“
