Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
We’re great, thank you for asking! Trying to stay mentally sane during all of this. How are you handing this lockdown?
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “My Feelings”?
When we heard these vocals, we instantly knew we wanted to produce the track which was a collab with our friend, Veniice. The single is for sure in our top 3 favorite tracks we’ve produced.
Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?
No particular event inspired us to write this song but, we’re huge fans of songs that hit you in your feelings! That was the initial direction we wanted to go with on this one! Think we nailed it 🙂
Any plans to release any sort of video for the single?
You’ll have to wait and see 🙂
How was the recording and writing process?
The recording & writing process was great! We wrote this song super quick actually. Sent the instrumental over to RANI, and she absolutely killed it! It was a very quick and easy process. Really happy how it turned out.
What role does the Toronto play in your music?
We love Toronto!! One of our favorite places to play at! Hope to come back ASAP 🙂
What was it like to work with RANI and how did that relationship develop?
Honestly, she’s amazing. Would love to work more with her! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to be in the studio together, but hopefully after this pandemic ends, we can get together and make more hits! 🙂
How much did she get to influence the song?
A LOT. If it wasn’t for her, the track wouldn’t be as special as it is.
Do you tend to take a different approach when working with someone else rather than your own?
We usually take the same approach no matter who it is! Love working with other people though, the more ideas the better!
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
We’re wrapping up a TON of singles this month and spending the month of June locked away in a studio in Miami. Keep an eye out for our releases!
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
We’re releasing “Hype” on Zero Cool Records (MOTi’s label) 15 May and “24/7” on Kontour 19 June. We’re really excited with the final product of both records.
What else is happening next in Riggi & Piros’ world?
An album worth of music is coming!! This is the best music we’ve ever made.
