In a brand new collaboration, the ethical social network VERO have teamed up with RANKIN to create a new music series that will feature some of the UK’s most exciting up and coming artists.
The live performances recorded at the photographer’s London studios are a celebration of some of the nation’s freshest talent and are providing musicians with a new platform to showcase their work and grow their fanbase in the current moment when they can’t gig or go on the road.
The live sessions shot in black and white and directed by Jordan Rossi highlight the acoustic range and more intimate side of new exciting talent, including artists such as Arlo Parks, Josie Man, Roses Gabor, Amber Simone and Kabba.
SXMSON acquired an early taste for RnB and pop listening to his sisters’ favourite boyband bops and girl power anthems. The Iranian/Jewish singer-songwriter has since sharpened his songwriting skills by working with producers like Laidback Luke and Grammy nominee Maths Time Joy. Now, with singles like “Fools Paradise” and “Smile”, he’s crafted his own signature sound of smooth vocals filtered over RnB production. Unabashedly proud of his LGBT+ identity, he uses his growing platform to improve queer visibility in pop and broaches his personal experience of dating and heartbreak in confessional lyrics.
