Hi MOH, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I’ve been good. Thanks for asking. Just trying to push my new single and at the same time stay safe.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Belinda”?

Belinda is my first major release which features one of my favorite African acts Mr Eazi and the song is produced by the super talented Lexyz. It is a soft and smooth Afrobeat banger which will definitely get you in your feelings and grooving.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

I had someone in mind when I wrote this song but unfortunately she’s not called Belinda. I can’t actually remember how the name Belinda even crossed my mind.

How was the recording and writing process?

It was one of the fastest sessions I’ve ever had. I was already chilling in my studio when my producer sent me the beat. As I was listening to the beat for the first time, all these different melodies kept on coming to me so I quickly took my phone and started recording them. Next thing I entered the booth and started putting words in those melodies. Everything else was magic.

What was it like to work with Mr. Eazi and how did that relationship develop?

My relationship with Eazi developed through an associate of mine called Sammy Forson. He’s pretty close to Eazi and sent him a couple of my records to listen to. Mr Eazi asked to meet up and everything just took off from there. Working with Mr Eazi was actually fun. Recording Belinda wasn’t my first time working with him so I was extremely comfortable. He brought this positive energy and fire during the session and after his verse we both knew this song would be a banger.

How much did he get to influence the song?

Mr. Eazi’s influence on the song speaks for itself. His verse brought some different feel to the song. I’m grateful for that.

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else or rather the opposite?

To be honest I just try to be myself and make sure I deliver.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

There’s lots of new material actually. Just finalizing some mixes and features.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Well for now not really, still working and planning with my team.

Any plans to hit the road?

Definitely but after it is safe for everyone to get back to their normal lives.

What else is happening next in MOH’s world?

I think let’s keep this as a surprise. Haha.
