Celebrities are Leaning Towards Red Light Therapy

There has been a recent surge of celebrities using red light therapy or LED red lights. It has been all over social media and magazines. Are you surprised? Because you are not alone.

As red light therapy is relatively new in the skincare industry and the fact that many controversies are surrounding its efficacy proves why people are surprised that elite Hollywood celebrities are using this.

From Kardashians, Lena Dunham, Kelly Rowland to Emma Stone, the list of celebrities using red light therapy has become quite long. They have all been posting about it in their social media or have been seen talking about these products in the media.

So, what is this red light therapy technology, why are celebrities leaning towards this, and does it really work? Red Light Therapy uses low waves of red light that gets under the skin without pain to make a positive impact on multiple nervous systems. It also positively impacts the metabolic processes of our body.

Contrary to popular belief, red light therapy has been in use for decades now. Different salons, doctors and skin care centers have been offering red light therapy for a long time. The difference between now and then is that back then, it was pretty expensive.

Nowadays, with the emergence of LED red light system companies like Platinum Therapy Lights are selling and shipping these products worldwide, so that you can use it on your own terms. This is also the mystery behind celebrities posting photos while taking red light therapy or pictures of the equipment itself.

Celebrities like Olivia Munn or Kristin Cavallari use red light therapy to stay young and rejuvenate their skin. In the words of Kristin Cavallari herself, “I use red light therapy twice a week to prevent lines and wrinkles.”

Does red light therapy have a placebo effect on these celebrities, or is it that the stars themselves are superstitious and are susceptible to the chicaneries of marketers who just wanna sell their equipment? Not according to researchers.

Over the years, there has been substantial research on this subject. Major studies done by scientists have proven that, indeed, red light therapy rejuvenates one’s skin by increasing blood flow and oxygen, racing up the cellular processes, including cell turnover, while lessening inflammation and intensifying collagen.

Red light therapy does not stop at rejuvenating skin, though. It has a myriad of benefits ranging from better sleep quality to pain relief. It is so effective in the treatment of diseases like arthritis that the FDA recently approved it for minor pain and arthritis.

Chrissy Teigen, Martha Hunt, Carole Redziwill, Lena Dunham, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, all are using red light therapy, and the list goes on. It is the least they can do to keep themselves young and to make sure they get the best of what red light therapy has to offer.

And the best part about this technology is that it is as natural as sunlight. It is proven to have no side-effects on human bodies, making it one of the best options for skincare. So, if you are looking to walk in the footsteps of these celebrities, don’t look back.
