Amber T Release New Single “Jigsaw”

At just 16 years of age, singer/songwriter AMBER T releases her first full solo single JIGSAW. She’s no stranger to releasing records though, as she was a co-writer on RUBIKA Final Call (over 1 million video views) and was the Artist & co-writer on two singles recorded with the legendary Producer DR.ZEUS, in the shape of “TICK TOCK” which debuted with a live interview and launch on Radio 1 and an interview for BBC TV News South East. This was followed by the latest single SHE DON’T, again debuted on Radio 1 & 1Xtra with a live interview (currently headed to over 50,000 streams and extensive radio support, even the lyric video has 5000 views). Self taught on the guitar and keyboard, this cutting-edge UK singer/songwriter began wowing audiences with her local Open Mic nights at the tender age of just 8 – whilst others were learning their A,B,C, Amber is rapidly snowballing her fanbase.

 The recording of one of her most popular live songs JIGSAW, came about when noted Producer Michael Smith RYP Studios (Weird Milk/Honey Lung etc.)saw her perform it at an event during The Great Escape festival in Brighton. Renowned for his ability to spot new talent, he immediately heard the songs potential and soon got busy recording the track with AMBER and a full band in tow, the result is this brilliantly produced indie pop song which shows off her extraordinary vocal and songwriting talent. With a wide range of influences from the likes of 1975, Clario, Benee, Beach Bunny, Madison Beer, LAUV, Ellie Goulding, Zayn, James Arthur etc. AMBER T is creating her own ‘sound’ as she continues to hone her craft both as a performer and songwriter. Her story behind the writing of JIGSAW is;

“Jigsaw is about always being second best to people. In numerous circumstances it felt that no matter how hard I would try I was never top priority for some and yet I was always there for when they needed someone. However I’ve learnt that sometimes its best to walk away from these things as theyre the ones who are loosing out- not you “

To date Amber’s performed over 200 live shows, which have steadily built from small local shows to the likes of Megamix Festival(1600 Girl Guides), performing at the World famous, The Shard (she became the first acoustic performer to play the Open Deck), a sold-out headline show at Chequer Mead Theatre in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, a headline show at Camden Chapel, East Court Live (a festival in Sussex to over 2500+ people). Pre self-isolation she was booked for the Oxted Festival (now moved to 2021)and booked for two major festivals for the Scouts/Girl Guides with in excess of 6000 attendees (currently still going ahead!) and like most artists had a stream of gigs which are now sadly cancelled. Alongside this she has performed at iconic music venues like The Bedford, The Forum Tunbridge Wells, The Grey Lady,  as well as festivals such as, Unfest, Ashstock, Swanage Carnival, Lingfest, Oxted Folk & Blues Festival and The Oxted Sessions where she was support for She Makes War.

 Currently in limbo, given that her schooling finished rather abruptly before her GCSE’s were taken, Amber is now waiting to go back to 6th form education where not surprisingly she’ll be studying music. In the meantime she is (or was until the current regulations) back in the studio where two more of her compositions are almost completed for future release. Also having seen her video shoot for JIGSAW cancelled due to the current Covid rules, she’s made and edited her own DIY video to keep things going.

“Jigsaw” is released on 1st May 2020 on Right Track Records.
