Mabelle Prior the Ghanaian and Switzerland award winning Broadcast journalist says-
‘Death is inevitable, whether you rejoice at another person’s death or not.

In Africa , avoidable death for the ordinary man is inevitable because of the failure of the people in whose hands our collective destiny as Africans lie.
This reminds me of the time when a certain African president’s son had an accident whilst gambling with his life. Drag-racing through the streets during a painful and shameful petrol scarcity period.
The gold that the common man had been denied access to was what the president’s kiddo used to fuel his toy for the sake of a few minutes of dangerous enjoyment.
I remember having no empathy to give at the time. I was excoriated by dissenters who were bent on exercising more than their fair share of the virtue-signalling we are all allowed to indulge in now and again, on my matter.
Here we are again with this world Pandemic of Covid19. Some African politicians died with this disease.
Nobody will die because they have no empathy for a late African politician.
The common African can hardly be guilt tripped these days.

Death will come no matter, and in this pandemic it is inevitable that the common man will die an untimely death because of the foolishness, greed and insensitivity that line the corridors of power.
Empathy is scarce. Deal with it.’
