To detox your hair, you need to quit shampoo (either immediately or over a transition) and start a healthy alternative. We are here to share with you how you can switch your artificial routine to a healthier and natural haircare routine. This is also known as going NoPoo. If you want to get rid of these expensive chemicals and start healthier natural remedies for your hair, then keep on reading this post till the last!
How to start:
Before getting the results of going NoPoo, you have to go through a transition period where your hair won’t feel very nice. The time this takes depends on your hair history and how quickly you want to quit! As a general rule, the more the chemicals you used, the more will it take time to recover. You can adopt certain ways to handle your hair when you are going through this recovery phase of your hair. You can fashion your hair in a topknot, bun, or plait. You can also grab a hat or a headscarf if you ever feel your hair is going through a particularly bad day. You don’t need to panic at this stage as it is necessary for your hair health, and there is no way to avoid going through the transition stage!
You can use the following mentioned things to make your hair feel better when you leave the chemical-based products. These things are completely natural and cause no harm to your hair.
The Apple Cider Vinegar Method:
Create a mixture of one tablespoon (or less) of baking soda per one cup of warm water and make sure you stir it until it is fully dissolved.
Apply the solution over all of your hair and gently massage it into your scalp and the length of your hair. It should have a slippery-to-the-touch feel. Remember to rinse it out well.
Following your baking soda wash, remember to wash with a solution of one to two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar/white vinegar per one cup of water. Slowly pour the cup over your head and massage it into your hair with your free hand. It is important to reach all of your scalp and hair. And you don’t need to rinse it out!
Aloe Vera juice:
Aloe Vera is best known for its inflammatory, healing, and soothing properties. It helps to cure your dull and damaged scalp. Just dilute it with water and apply it on your hair. You can also dilute it more to make a leave-in conditioner.
And here comes the best of the best solution for your scalp problems. You need to apply coconut oil on your hair, give a gentle massage and boom. You will get the surprising results in a little time. Remember not to use too much!
