Sprayground – the world’s most innovative accessory and backpack and influential streetwear brand, has created a first-of-its kind collection and collaborated with a local designer from the Bronx, NY, to create a range of face masks.
Sprayground, a company founded in NYC by Bronx born CEO David Ben David is partnering with local designers to give back to the city that raised him. This collection of masks, in partnership with Kiki Boutique , a local designer and seamstress, includes 10 different designs made from 100% recycled and repurposed fabric from Sprayground.
Each mask is handmade and cut from existing bespoke fabric that has never been seen from Sprayground. The patterns were cut from large pieces of fabric, making each mask completely unique – no mask is the same.
Sprayground celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year, and to give back to its loyal fans over the past 10 years, and especially during these uneasy times, they will be giving away 1,000 masks to fans, as a thank you, and also to keep themselves and those around them safe.
Founder and creative director, David Ben David said, “Sprayground is more than another New York company, it’s a family of people whose goal is to create art for the world to enjoy. I’m from the Bronx, this city is my home and I consider the people who live here to be my extended family. And as my mom says: “family takes care of family”. So this one’s for you, I hope it brings you joy and keeps you safe!”
The mask collection comes just days after the company used its factory facility to make and 100% donated 20,000 surgical masks to hospitals and those on the front lines in New York.
As with all Sprayground collections, the masks will be limited edition and made in limited quantity, once they’re gone, they’re gone.
The masks will be available to purchase online at www.sprayground.comfrom Sunday, April 26.
