Truly embracing the age of the internet, metal duo Underking have released a debut double album featuring two vocalists from two continents who have never met!
Forming in 2019 and starting as the solo endeavour of Notingham, England’s Maxwell Jeffries (previously of Rage Cave), Underking enlisted the vocal talents of Dustin Burmeister from Arizon, U.S. Underking just released their debut project, an ambitious duel album featuring two distinct styles.
With vocals from Jeffries, the first album “Ghosts of the Past” focuses on a classic heavy metal, with a Black Sabbath/Judas Priest influenced sound, best personified in the single “Hexed”.
The second album, “Amongst the Dead”, with vocal duties going to Burmeister, draws inspiration from groups such as Kvelertak, Megadeth and Pantera, best represented by the single “Way of Man”.
Ranging from old school riff fests to sledgehammer hardcore, “Ghosts of the Past/Amongst the Dead” is sure to please even the most diehard metal fan.
