We now leave Gran Canaria for Tenerife, another beautiful island of the Canary Isles archipelago. We have found once again, a luxurious hotel. The complex takes its name from the Duque de Tenerife beach which is directly opposite. The hotel is set amongst idyllic tropical gardens that extend for up to six hectares.

The hotel’s amenities include a choice of accommodation in either a villa in the grounds or rooms with private balconies in the hotel itself. There are many sports amenities including, a gym, five open air pools, table tennis and a full sized tennis court. There is also a hiking trail through the surrounding gardens.

The hotel is situated just a few metres from the beach. Surprisingly, one its main attractions are the tamarind trees that grow in the surrounding environment. The hotel’s restaurant is named after the tamarinds and serves a selection of international cuisines.

The pet-friendly hotel is compact, but incredibly charming, which gives it a distinct advantage over much larger hotels. It has a lovely intimate atmosphere which makes it one of the best of the small beachfront hotels in Spain.

Although our list concludes here, there are several hotels in all of the other coastal regions of Spain that could have been included. There is the Costa del Sol, the coast of Catabria, the Costa Blanca in Alicante and La Manga del Mar Menor… All of these beautiful regions have first-class tourist attractions.
