Tommy Lee is a Greek-American film score composer, singer, songwriter, film producer as well as a musician. Thomas Lee Bass was born on the 3rd of October 1962 in Athens, Greece. He received his fame in 1981 after co-founding band of the heavy metal genre with Nikki Sixx called Matley Crue, where Nikki was a bass player. Later on, Mick Mars and Vince Niel joined Nikki and Tommy Lee as a guitarist in their band.

Creation of Motley Crue Band

Lee met Nikki Sixx, who encouraged him to create a band which was later completed by Mick Mars and Vince Neil. Tommy Lee performed as a drummer in Motley Crue. Mr. Lee has also led a successful single career. Moreover, he went on to create two more bands, namely, ‘Methods of Mamb’ and ‘Rock Stars Supernova.’ He began collaborating with such artists like Rob Zombie and Trent Reznor’s and Nine Inch Nails.

Music Career with Motley Crue Band

Motley Crue is considered to be among the best-selling bands of all time, and it has sold over 100 million albums during their entire career. They produced such popular songs as ‘Home Sweet Home,’ ‘Kickstart My Heart,’ ‘Girls Girls’ and ‘Wild Side’ to name a few. The band appeared in the music industry in 1981 with the release of their first new album entitled ‘Too Fast for Love.’ Motley Crue received more commercial success with the release of ‘Girls Girls Girls.’

The album was well-received by both the critics and the audience. The success showcased when it peaked shortly after its release in the number-two spot on Billboard charts. The song proved to be so successful that it was later certified four times platinum by the RIAA forum.

From 1992 till 2003, the band went through many issues. Those issues include conflicts with their record label as well as changes within the group, which brought them to an artistic halt. Motley Crue renewed their success in 2004 when they came out with an anthology album entitled ‘Red, White, and Crew.’ The album featured such singles as ‘If I Die Tomorrow’ and six love songs. The band ultimately released nine studio albums, the last studio effort being ‘Saints of Los Angeles’ in 2008. In 2016, the group disbanded.
