“Faithful” by Philip Allen has been in the making for a long time. Philip told us: “The interesting thing about this song is that it took me a couple of years to actually record and produce it. When I wrote it, I began performing it. I started singing it in churches, conferences, camps, and anywhere else I had the opportunity. I even sang it on WGN’s “SingSation”, hosted by Dr. Willie Wilson. But after almost every performance of the song, people told me that I needed to record it. So I decided to work on the production for the song.”
Even though he has questioned him many times,“Faithful” is Philip’s reminder of how God has never failed him. The song took months to put out because to Philip, it just never quite sounded right. Through the frustration, Philip finally released the track this past Friday. The Result? The song was worth the wait.
Philip’s soft vocals melded over the track’s beautiful guitar and piano based instrumental creates a infectious, melodic sound. “Faithful” is just a taste of what is to come from the Chicago based singer-songwriter.
