INTERVIEW: T Harmony and King Rah

Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

T Harmony – Been good tryna live a good life make things happen.

King Rah – Just tryna make music and stay outta trouble.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Peng Ting”?

T Harmony – It’s a song for the gyl dem, one to get them feeling themselves. Nice feel good music.

King Rah – ‘Just as T said, it’s a vibe still.’

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

T Harmony – The UK sound atm had an influence. And clearly a sweetone.

King Rah – Well to be fair when we first heard it the bars and stuff just flowed naturally and the fact that it felt current.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

T Harmony – ‘We have one already keep a lookout for that one.’

King Rah – ‘Everything patterned! We’re actually planning our next vid as we speak…’

How was the recording and writing process?

T Harmony – Really easy really we kinda just get it when it comes to writing and creating.

King Rah – It’s that!

What made you guys come together for this track?

T Harmony – It was one of those things that was bound to happen just a matter of time and this is that time.

King Rah – ‘It was fully organic how we almost freestyled the song when we first heard the instrumental? It would have been dumb not to record and release it.’

Do you tend to take a different approach when collaborating with someone else rather than working on your own?

T Harmony – I think about what they want but also make sure that I add what they asked me on the record for in the first place.

King Rah – As T created the hook it was kinda easy for me to strap couple bars true the concept was handed to man.

What role does the UK play in your music?

T Harmony – Apart but a lot of things influences my music my best music is yet to be released.

King Harmony – The UK plays a massive part as that’s wheres mans born and bred ya feel me plus the fact that the uk influences are based on other countries influences just brings it back full circle.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

T Harmony – I have a lot of records/ we have a lot of records together but timing is key I think.

King Rah – Baaaaaare tracks fi dem! We actually have a mixtape almost done with a variation on sounds and bars that should keep the industry interested.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

T Harmony – The video for ‘Peng Ting’ will be the next up but new music coming soon also.

King Rah – Mixtape name tbc, expect the video about a fortnight from now.

Any plans to hit the road?

T Harmony – This would be something again this is down to timing but performing is place I feel most comfortable so yea that’s definitely on the bucket list.

King Rah – Totally.

What else is happening next in your world?

T Harmony – We as well as doing my own music, I also song write for other artist, started an independent label with my brother, as well as running events for up and coming artist so I’m very busy along side my music, have to do something to keep me busy

King Rah – I’m still Major Muzik which is the label managed by Sharky Major, so expect my typical grime/ drill tracks to make appearances throughout……can’t be all nice up with dem, gotta she’ll something from time to time.
