INTERVIEW: Walker’s Cay

How would you classify your music?

Our music is reminiscent of Progressive Classic Pop and Rock from the 1980’s and             1990’s. Songs about REAL life situations that most people experience, and songs that they WANT to listen to!

Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?

Aerosmith, Boston, Bryan Adams, Pink Floyd, and Styx.

What do you want fans to take from your music?

To be entertained, uplifted, and to relate to a sense of honesty! And buy more records!  🙂

How’s the music scene in your locale?

Like most others around North America.  Sometimes good, sometimes bad.  Depending upon the economy, and what is happening in the world today.  Our music reflects that.

What is the best concert you have been to? What do you like most about playing live?

Some of the best concerts:  Aerosmith, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Wolfmother, AC/DC. The fans, the rush, (and roar of the crowd), the chicks!

Is there a song on your latest CD release here that stands out as your personal favorite, and why?

We love both of our newest songs, “Tell Me,” and “Why Oh Why.”  They say it ALL about life!

How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?

We have each evolved in the band as a very tight unit, and as friends as well!

If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?

A few artists and bands…Chris Cornell, Tom Scholtz, Tommy Shaw, Styx, Heart, Toto.

What’s next for you?

We as a band want to keep on recording, and playing as many live shows as possible, growing more creative to entertain our fans and enemies.
