Erik Goca is an American singer/songwriter from Los Angeles California.
At a young age Erik discovered his passion for singing while participating in music competitions throughout middle school and highschool.
Erik Goca who spent his childhood living between California and Mexico due to his multicultural mixture and dual citizenship brought him the opportunity to learn two languages fluently English and Spanish.
After completing high school, Erik moved to Las Vegas where he won the MGM Grand International Employee Competition.
While working at Bellagio Casino Erik received an invitation to fly to Malibu to meet David Foster, a Grammy Award Winning composer and songwriter. Foster shared a recording of Erik performing at the “O” Theater by Cirque Du Soleil a famous location in the Bellagio, where he sang Andrea Bocelli’s “Time To Say Goodbye”, with which he described Erik’s singing voice as “big” and “having great sound and timber.”
After a successful meeting with Foster at his Meditarranian-Style mansion in Malibu, CA, (childhood home of Bella and Gigi Hadid), Erik was invited to perform for thousands at Mandalay Bay in a concert titled David Foster & Friends. After this performance Erik was approached about a collaboration with a Ricardo Reyna, a Mexican DJ producer. This team effort produced the hot summer anthem “Summer Love”, which pays homage to deep house vibes and upbeat tempo, a signature of the German Label Pyro Records who distributed the song.
This garnered Erik notoriety in Europe, the US, Mexico and South America. In 2018, Erik released his debut single “Deep in Love” after working with producer and musician, Reed Heidel. This infused Erik’s style with a touch of pop and a fun “R&B” sound.
To expand his exposure, Erik auditioned to join “Overnight” an upstart boy band consisting of
Erik Goca, IlyahHasnouie, Kyle Davis and Jordan McIntosh “Overnight”, a 90s throwback music show pays tribute to multiple mega-pop stars of the 90s era including 98 Degrees, New Kids on the Block, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, TLC, Britney Spears, and others.
In 2019, Erik got to spend time and collaborate with Chinasa Broxton and Carlos Moore, who together made up Tribe Mafia, in NYC, where they discussed and applied influences of the blues genre on music. In October of that year they travelled to a 60,000 audience show in Sao Paulo, Brazil to open for Akon. Erik described working with Tribe Mafia as easy, fun and energetic experience, they had a very fluid connection. Together they are developing new songs to be released this year of 2020.
Erik Goca continues to work on other exciting projects with artists Tribe Mafia, Ilyah, Moroccan Producer Rhazi (Rhazi on da beat), Mexican Dj producer Ricardo Reyna and American producer Reid Heidel.
