Duo Lastlings Announce First Single & Official Video in 2020 “Take My Hand” Following Their Signing to Astralwerks

Australian-Japanese sibling duo Lastlings today announced their signing to Astralwerks with the first single released on the label, “Take My Hand.” The track arrives on the back of their biggest year to date, as band members Amy and Josh Dowdle continue to gain global notoriety as artists to watch.

“Take My Hand” emerges as their first release of the year, showcasing their multi-genre sound crafted by a driving electronic beat, strong pop songwriting and effortless vocals. In the emotive video, the lyricism comes alive in an Inception-esque world where the pair operate a mind-altering device that transports people through moments in time that they wish they could revisit for better or worse.

Lastlings unpack the single: “Take My Hand” is about two people who are unprepared to let go of each other. They both care about each other deeply but have to go their separate ways. We took inspiration for this song from one of our favourite animes, “Your Name” by Makoto Shinkai.”
