Cadet’s Support Me, released via Underrated Legends, is out now following a radio premiere on DJ Target’s Radio 1Xtra show and a spin on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show last night.

Produced by Dirty SajSupport Me was recorded last year, a few months before Cadet passed. Highlighted at the time by Cadet to his friends and family as “a song for my album”, it’s befitting that Support Me is the lead single to be released from his forthcoming debut long player, The Rated Legend.

Support Me’s release is accompanied by a short film directed by Labi Abebunmi (Stefflon Don, French Montana, Fekki) and award-winning Leon Mayne, (who also wrote the screenplay). The short film depicts the need for support in a relationship, (touching on what this support should or should not look like), told from the perspective of someone’s whose career is progressing. The split screen featured throughout the film illustrates the dichotomy of support from a relationship on one side, and lack of support on the other.
