The Web’s Most Influential Agency Was Founded by a Domino’s Delivery Driver Victor Smushkevich

If you were looking for the next big tech entrepreneur, you probably wouldn’t be looking at Domino’s Pizza delivery drivers. But that’s exactly where Victor Smushkevich found himself in 2012. A college dropout, Victor was barely keeping his head above water financially. But Victor wasn’t just wasting his time in a dead-end job. He was spending all of his spare time learning about search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is the practice of building a website that ranks well in Google’s search algorithms. This was, and still is, a fast-growing field that provides essential services for online businesses. This isn’t just a vanity project. Businesses rely on web traffic to attract customers, and higher-ranking websites garner more visitors than lower-ranking sites.

In 2013, Victor launched his business, Smart Street Media. Over the past seven years, he’s built Smart Street Media into a 7-figure venture. They’ve helped hundreds of businesses to boost their search rankings, achieving the #1 Google search ranking for more than 41,000 keywords. This has brought major success for their clients, generating $100 million in additional revenue. One of Victor’s proudest achievements is Smart Street Media’s partnership with Acorns, the now-popular investment app. Through their partnership, Acorns gained 600,000 app downloads, providing a nitrous oxide-style boost to their business. To date, Smart Street Media has also generated over 1,000,000 phone calls for their clients, all of this coming from free web traffic.

Victor is also an accomplished business writer. He’s a contributor to several major publications, including Forbes, HuffPost,, and Business2Community. In 2019, he became a member of Forbes Councils, Forbes’ exclusive panel of top-tier writers. As part of his work with Smart Street Media, Victor has even helped several of his clients to get published. This is just as important to their business goals as boosting their search engine ranking. At the end of the day, Victor’s business is all about boosting clients’ visibility.

In his writing, Victor focuses on boosting websites’ SEO rankings. He’s been particularly vocal about proper distribution of search keywords. In traditional SEO practice, keywords were often overused and clustered together, leading to nearly-incoherent text. Victor stresses the importance of spreading keywords evenly throughout a web page, and using them where they’re relevant. He’s also been trying to blow open the myth that longer web pages are better for search rankings. They’re not, Victor says. A longer web page may earn some extra money for an SEO agency and their writers, but it won’t actually boost the search ranking. Again, Victor says, the key is to include relevant, well-placed keywords.

In addition to his work at Smart Street Media, Victor has also founded a major back link agency, SEOGuestPosts has partnered with over 500 SEO agencies, to create outside links to their clients’ posts. These types of back links are essential for boosting a website’s search ranking. Victor has since sold SEOGuestPosts, in order to focus on his business at Smart Street Media.
