Champions League Betting Tips

With PSG, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester City, Liverpool and Barcelona dominating their respective groups, the Champions League has great moments this season. During the first leg of the round of 16, Borussia Dortmund emerged victorious over PSG, as Liverpool lost to Atletico Madrid. Chelsea also lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich as Man. City thrashed Real Madrid 2-0 and Barcelona drew 1-1 with Napoli. In other games, Juventus’ efforts were futile as they lost 1-0 to Lyon, while last season’s runners up Tottenham lost 1-0 against RB Leipzig.

Here is a brief review of the top five upcoming Champions league games:

Valencia vs. Atalanta

With the game scheduled for 10th March 2020, Atlanta will face Valencia in the second leg with a 4-1 advantage over the opposition. The first encounter between the two sides gave us an incredible show in Italy, with both teams having enough chances to keep the scoreboard going.

In the second leg, a similar action is expected at the Mestalla stadium in Spain, and over 2.5 goals are our initial prediction for this game. You can also expect both teams to score, though Valencia has remained inconsistent all season.

PSG vs. Dortmund

After losing 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg, the hosts, PSG will be under pressure to perform at the Parc Des Princes stadium on 11th March. In the UCL UEFA Champions League first leg, the French aristocrats seemed dangerous for a significant amount of time in the second half at the Westfalenstadion, and they’re normally stronger on home turf. As such, we predict that Thomas Tuchel’s side will advance to the next stage.

Liverpool vs. Atletico

With Liverpool hosting Atletico Madrid at Anfield for the second leg, they’ll need to pull off another Champions League comeback following their 1-0 loss at Wanda Metropolitano. Fortunately, the Reds have proven that they can do it, after overturning a 3-0 deficit in the first leg against Barcelona during last season’s semi-finals.

Jurgen Klopp hopes he’ll be able to rekindle the spirits of his men and give an amazing performance as they did against Barcelona last season. As such, you can bet on Liverpool to qualify and also take the lead at half time and full time. The Match will be live on BT Sport on 11th March 2020.

Manchester City vs. Real Madrid

In the last two Champions League contests, Real Madrid has outwitted Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Nonetheless, Pep Guardiola will try to put one over his old rivals, though this could be the game where the Blues’defensive shortcomings are exposed. As such, if the whites get fair chances of possession, then a home win would be of great value to the punters. However, Real Madrid will be looking to recover from their 1-2 home loss in the first leg.

Barcelona vs. Napoli

Following a 1-1 draw between Barcelona and Napoli in the first leg, the two sides will be motivated enough to secure a win at Camp Nou on 18th March. Normally, Barcelona beats their opponents with at least two goals, and you can expect them to turn the tables on Napoli as they did to Chelsea in 2018. During that season, Barcelona drew 1-1 with Chelsea in the first leg and they beat them 3-0 in the second leg.
