Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Gets Like That”? Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

“Get’s Like That’ tune came about when I done a song called “RaRa” with OFB Munie then I decided to do a challenge where I put out the RaRa beat with just the chorus and empty verse for my supporters who think they can create the best rap video to the song will win a prize, a lot of entries came through gettin a lot of views on my instagram page @tynee_duzdis. I personally picked 3 winners but only one could win the prize so I set up a vote system on my instagram story and Carz won who was 14 at the time so I went to his school announced him as the winner and gave him prize money then because I liked his entry so much I decided to put him in my music collective (DuzDis music) then I decided its only right for me to do this song with him.

How was the recording and writing process?

Yeah when a collaboration comes together sometimes I write a tune thinking it’s going to be a solo then I think nah someone else could jump on this, we would link up I’d  make a chorus then we would both write verses and the same time seeing who goes hardest.

What role does Birmingham play in your music?

Birmingham inspires me to make music because over the years a lot of my support has been coming from Birmingham and when your a Birmingham artist a lot of eyes are on you because there isn’t that much artist out here doing something different.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Yes this single is a one of many from my new EP called MyOhMy the EP which will be released this year which will have many other bangers on there with artist from all over the world and different cities like Romzy, OFB Munie, RM, Bramma from Jamaica, Lyco etc.

Any plans to hit the road?

I will hit the road after I drop my E.P and start receiving some feedback, although I have a nice collection of popular songs more known to Birmingham it will be good to fuse the old and new together in one show.

What else is happening next in Tynee DuzDis’s world?

Well Currently I’m working on some new music, I’ve recently come back from Ghana and I’m highly influenced so expect anything lol. I’m surely going to do a challenge for my Gets Like That song which will be on Instagram.
