How did you come up with idea for your brand Lucidsocks?
I came up with the idea for Lucid Socks by seeing a need for awesome socks! Lucid Socks knows that everyone is different, everyone has their own personality and style, which makes us individuals. People should have the option to get products to fit them as an individual. I know personally, before starting this brand, when I shop the last thing I think about is buying socks, I always wait until I desperately need them to buy them. The idea behind Lucid Socks is that you don’t need to worry about buying socks! We will send socks personalized to our customers every month.
What separates your brand from others?
Our designs set us apart from other brands, as well as our ability to personalize your subscription. All our socks are designed in house in Tampa. We work hard to be different and to make our socks trendy and stand out. When a customer signs up, they can customize their box just for them, this helps ensure them they will get a pair of socks that they love and will be happy to show off.
Why did you start Lucidsocks?
I created Lucid Socks because socks are a part of life. Every time we get dressed, we reach into our sock drawer and grab a pair. We go shopping and may buy a nice t shirt and some comfortable jeans, but we rarely think about the socks we wear on our feet, they deserve to be shown off as well! I wanted to create a brand that has lovable designs as well as the convenience of getting socks delivered monthly!
What was the most challenging part of creating Lucidsocks?
The most challenging part of creating Lucid Socks was finding a way to personalize every customers subscription box. In the beginning we received complaints that some months socks were too bold or too plain. After some trial and error, we created the ability to customize a subscription for our customers on our website, now our customers know they will get socks they will love and be excited for their box every month
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started your businesses?
When I started Lucid Socks in 2018, I dove in headfirst. If I could go back, I would do more research on who my target audience is, and the marketing tools that would benefit me the most. The first year was a lot of trail and error.
Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
The next five years I plan to use Lucid Socks to help many brands and stores create their own custom sock lines. I would like to see stores all over the world selling socks that we have created for them! I also see Lucid Socks being a brand name that everyone knows and wears!
