Los Angeles Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist David Haerle Releases New Single & Music Video “The Free Show”

“When my longtime partner Erica sees a sunset or an exquisite cloud formation she’ll say, ‘Look, a free show!’ shares Los Angeles singer/songwriter/guitarist DAVID HAERLE. “When we take the time to look around us and really see, we find ourselves surrounded by amazing things.” This idea sparked the inspiration for his latest single and corresponding music video, “The Free Show,” out everywhere now.

Watch “The Free Show” on YouTube here; the video was shot at several locations throughout Los Angeles and shines a light on the everyday beauty that surrounds us.

“The Free Show” is the latest single to be released from HAERLE‘s forthcoming sophomore album Death Valley, due out May 8.

Of “The Free Show,” HAERLE goes on to say, “A profound free show for me are these magenta flowers that I pass on a walk I take near my office. The color is so vivid and so vibrant that I find it mesmerizing. Their radiance makes me feel hopeful, optimistic and even sentimental. I can’t help but lean in for a closer look every time I pass by. The free show is not just a gift of nature either. Living in Los Angeles, there’s always an interesting face, outfit, tattoo or hairstyle ready to turn your head. Or a low rider event that might cross your path like it did mine the other day. A Chevy in Chartreuse, a Van Gogh Sunset, the world is asking us to take it all in. As the song says about these free shows: ‘many show times today, and there will be more tomorrow.'”

The songs included on Death Valley were selected “based mostly on feeling and what I thought would make a good listening experience,” shares HAERLE. “Death Valley is the culmination of where inspiration took me during this period in my life. We rock pretty hard in places. We take it way down in others. I sing about renewal, how we lose our way and then find our way back. There’s a lot of love and gratitude expressed on this record and hopefully people find beauty in some of what we have done.”
