Easypeel Releases New Single “What A Woman”

Easypeel is an indie rock teenage dream, dip-dyed in 70’s nostalgia.

Tom Morley is a strikingly tall, curly haired singer/songwriter from the suburban town of Fleet, Hampshire. He now lives and works in South East London.  From his leafy Woolwich recording studio ‘Saccharin’, Tom reflects ‘In the past 18 months I’ve been writing a lot, exploring ideas around how we connect, or fail to connect, with the world around us. It’s a recurrent realisation that we ourselves are nature too; sickly hunks of meat dressed up in civilisation.’

‘We have an amazing view of the River Thames and have filled the studio with plants. It feels like the closest to nature we can be in a London studio;an urban oasis.’

Citing the likes of Vampire Weekend and Fleet Foxes as influences, Easypeel uses both direct and abstract lyricism, blending intimate acoustic guitar, gritty electrics and earthy clarinet to create a sound sticky with moreish sentimentality.

When speaking about his latest single, Tom states “What A Woman is a love letter to Mother Nature and a wake up call to humans. It’s a reminder to value our natural surroundings and take care of them – even if it’s just remembering to water the darn plants!”

“I was fortunate enough that my friend Rod Lynton (Rupert’s People, John Lennon) lent me his electric guitar skills for a slinky cameo” Tom recalls.
