Neighborhood Goliath have returned with release of their new single infectious single “Dark Stars,” a song about willful denial, it’s a conversation about why a particular love is unique and extraordinary, but ultimately doomed and the refusal to accept that. It’s a love song wrapped up in the inevitability of natural decay.
Formed in Orlando Florida in 2011, and relocated to London England in 2016, Neighborhood Goliath mashes together its American and British roots to establish a unique version of guitar driven Alternative Indie Soul.
Neighborhood Goliath features singer/lyricist/producer Trevor Dion Nicholas, guitarist Andrew Cooksley, drummer Steve Gilbertson, bassist Pete Hunt, pianist Steve Corley and co-producer J.S.T. Andrews. Together they craft electrifying alt-rock songs dripping with honesty, vulnerability and head bobbing swagger. These powerfully sung, guitar-based pledges carry themes of love, loss, addiction, social issues, stories of life and death all with sweeping emotional familiarity.
Head Honcho, Editor in Chief and writer here on VENTS. I don't like walking on the beach, but I love playing the guitar and geeking out about music. I am also a movie maniac and 6 hours sleeper.
