Known for not fitting into any specific genre, singer/songwriter/producer, Yoshi Flower releases the video for his moody track, “7 Days” today.
The Detroit native has a skill for creating a sound that can’t be pigeonholed. Late last year he released his latest mixtape, I Will Not Let My Love Go To Waste. The mixtape features tracks that have a gritty and raw, rock fueled sound as well as tracks that have a softer, lullaby-esque tone layered over pop-trap beats. On “7 Days” he experiments with a softer and more playful approach singing about yearning for someone. The video directed by Josh Flores displays a montage of Yoshi’s journey of having to complete insignificant tasks in his day-to-day life while being in love.
Yoshi is set to go on the road in support of his latest mixtape, I Will Not Let My Love Go To Waste this Spring. His set will be comprised of songs off the latest mixtape as well as fan favorites including “Coffee,” which Rolling Stone deemed a “Song You Need to Know,” “Movies,” recognized by Fader and “Brown Paper Bag” which was recently featured on Netflix’s new original series “Locke & Key.” The nine-city tour will kick off in Los Angeles before wrapping in Washington, DC on March 21st. Tickets are available now.
