Growing up singing with pots and pans in caravans and tipis and tree houses with her Mum, Jasmine is able to see the world in its purist form. Navigating her way with good vibrations and love, Jasmine has had music in her soul from a young age. Whether it was drumming in Bali as the sun went down or working on liquid drum and bass and reggae events in Bristol, Jasmine felt her call early on and has been pursuing it ever since.
After moving to London, Jasmine was blinded by love and had her heart shattered into a thousand pieces. This chapter in her life led her to find music which saved her, “He wanted love but he feared love he didn’t no love how I knew love”. Jasmine’s rawness, soulful and relatable lyrics reflect her new path in what is set to be a very exciting 2020.
Jasmine is making her mark with the release of her debut single Lover Boy. Jasmine’s sound and style combines a unique rawness, with soulful beats making her tone of the most unique voices in the UK right now. Jasmine created Lover Boy when she found that the love she had found had gone. Talking about the single she says: “Not one reason to stay and a page full of reasons to go. But I was still there, that was us, lovers that’s all we had left the last thing to disconnect from”
Jasmine takes influence from artists including Soul to Soul, Massive Attack, Nas, Stevie Nicks and Marvin Gaye. Her tone has been compared to the likes of Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu.
“I’m currently on my new journey still with love as my reflection and my message because I believe all we want in life is unconditional love. Some people are afraid to let it in some people don’t know how to. Being naked with our emotions is a beautiful way to live life. I trust in the universe and timing for everything and I’m ready now.”
