Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy’s Hella Mega Tour is set to bring fast-paced, head-banging rock to fans around the globe. It’s rare for high-profile acts to coordinate their performances, and it’s even rarer for bands to embark on stadium tours, but Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy are ready to make history, and the music landscape will be better for it.
Whether you’re an on-the-fence fan or a ticketholder who’s looking for some extra info, here’s everything you need to know about the Hella Mega Tour.
It’ll Take Place Between March and August 2020
The Hella Mega Tour will begin on March 8th, 2020, in Singapore. The performances will wrap with an August 29th, 2020, concert in Philadelphia.

It’ll Consist of 46 Shows–Some of Which Won’t Include All Three Bands
The Hella Mega Tour will deliver 46 shows across 22 countries. However, of Hella’s five total legs, just two–the second European leg and the North American leg–will boast Weezer, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy.
The initial leg, which takes place in March 2020 and covers seven shows in Asia, will be headlined only by Green Day; the same is true of the first European leg, which will take place in May and will bring four concerts to Scandinavia and Russia.
In June, Green Day and Weezer will complete a six-show string in Germany, Denmark, and Italy.
The remaining 29 outings, including each of those in North America, will be headlined by all three bands.
It’ll Be Complemented by New Music
Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy are creating music specifically for the Hella Mega Tour, with an emphasis on vicious chord progressions and hard-rocking tracks that are well-suited for playing in stadiums – music therapy for the soul.
Fall Out Boy kicked things off with Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two, which features three brand-new songs, on November 15th, 2019.
Green Day’s 13th studio album, Father of All…, is scheduled to release on February 7th, 2020.
Finally, Weezer’s 14th studio album, Van Weezer, will drop on May 15th, 2020.
It’ll Be Opened by The Interrupters–in North America
Only the North American leg of the Hella Mega Tour will come equipped with an opening act. The Interrupters, an LA-based ska-punk band, have been booked to initiate all 20 of the concerts in the United States and Canada.
The four-piece group previously opened for Green Day.
It’ll Feature VIP Packages
A portion of the Hella Mega Tour stops feature VIP packages.
The basic VIP package includes one Hella Mega concert ticket, one lithograph, one commemorative concert ticket, one branded water bottle, one bottle opener, one drawstring bag, a special-entrance option (presumably at a less crowded spot), and a personal guide.
Other packages offer more goods, and other packages yet offer a backstage pass, but none of the Hella Mega Tour VIP options include an opportunity to meet with the bands. Sorry, superfans.
